Lady Nedra McPherson

FIRST LADY

Lady Nedra D. McPherson is the daughter of Mary and Richard Bramlett. She is a St. Louis Native and a graduate of Hazelwood East High School.

 

Lady Nedra is currently a Breast Health Navigator at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Breast Health Center, and works as part of a team that helps women obtain free breast imaging and breast health care if qualified. She is passionate about speaking with women to help them overcome any barriers to receiving annual mammograms, breast consultations,

and diagnostic imaging. She also works part-time at Washington University School of Medicine as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Co-Author regarding Genetic Counseling and Testing. Breast cancer is the most curable cancer if found timely, and care is available to them.

In addition to working at BJC & Washington University, Lady Nedra is the Founder and CEO of Butterfly Beginnings, a non-profit organization that is a resource for women and men newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Butterfly Beginnings navigates patients through their entire breast cancer journey by providing life coaching, financial resources, and mental health support.

 

Lady Nedra attended Sanford Brown for the medical assistant program; completed her Associate in Applied Science in Human Services at Florissant Valley Community College and received her patient navigation training with the Harold P. Freeman Patient Navigation Institute and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

 

Lady Nedra was a member of Christ Our Redeemer AME Church for 26 ½ years where she served on the Steward Board, the Choir, the Health Ministry, and the Evangelist Ministry. She is now the proud First Lady of the Historic St. Paul AME Church of Columbia, MO, and married to Rev. Anthony McPherson. Evangelist Nedra is the proud mother to 3 wonderful daughters, Tiara, Timera, and Tiona, her bonus son, Micah, and a beautiful granddaughter, Amela Faith.

 

Above all, Lady Nedra is a child of God and her favorite scripture is Acts 20:24 (NLT), “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus – the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
